During National Volunteering Week, University of Limerick officially launched its Employee Volunteer Leave Procedure at a special event on Wednesday 20th May, led by President Professor Shane Kilcommins and Director of Human Resources Bobby O'Connor. This is an especially significant year, recognising the United Nations International Year of Volunteers for Sustainable Development and the Volunteer Ireland 26 for 26 campaign.
At UL, we are committed to supporting volunteering in the community and to playing a leading role in the socio-economic and cultural development of the communities we serve. This initiative reflects our values of engagement, integrity and diversity, while strengthening our commitment to community engagement in the Mid West.
