Join our award winning St Patricks Day Parade 2026 and represent UL in the biggest Community Cultural Event in Limerick City. Showcase the diversity of our UL community International and National students can flaunt traditional clothing representing their unique cultures, if desired.  Fun-packed day for enthusiastic volunteers Special edition UL-branded T-shirts for all participants Before and After-party with Traditional Irish music and dance, in Limerick Milk Market Delicious food for all volunteers Please Note: This is a non-alcohol event, ensuring a family-friendly atmosphere for all participants.

Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:
UL's  St Patricks Day celebration begins in the Milk Market, City Centre at 9.30am.  We begin our day with a coffee/snack to get into the spirit of togetherness and fun in preparation for the parade. We will then mobilise into our group and proudly showcase the energy and spirit of UL as we make our way through the city centre.  After the parade we will make our way back to the Limerick Milk Market for a beautiful lunch and after-party,compliments of UL where there will be traditional Irish music representing Irish culture at its finest for you to enjoy,  Once you voluteer for the St Patrcks Day Parade you give consent for promotional and marketing material, there will be a photographer and videographer for the duration of the parade, capturing precious memories of the day for all to share. Each volunteer will recieve a link with photos and video footage after the event. 

Benefits of Volunteering:
An ability to follow guidance and instruction on the day of the parade from stewards  Excellent time keeping Crowd engagement and an inclusive friendly approach towards spectators   The time commitment required on the day of the parade is 6 hours and a 2 hour briefing meet up prior to event date to be confirmed. 

Minimum time commitment per week:
8 hours p/week
