About Us:Age Action supports and advocates for equality and human rights for all older people.
Age Action’s Getting Started programme is designed to provide basic computer skills to the over 55s and all our tutors are volunteers.
Our classes are small and volunteer tutors work one-to-one with students. We run mixed ability classes for both beginners and follow on students and the teaching process is student led.
The minimum commitment is one hour per week.
Tasks:
Our volunteers help us to tackle ageism and support older people to live full and independent lives. We aim to ensure that volunteering with Age Action is a two-way relationship, from which both the volunteer and Age Action will jointly benefit. We continuously seek to offer opportunities for volunteers, and to support our volunteers in their own goals.
We are committed to ensuring an accessible and inclusive volunteer experience. If a volunteer’s circumstances change, we will do our best to accommodate them. If you have accessibility requirements, we will do our best to accommodate these also.

Sligo MCR Community Centre Thur 10.30am-12.30pm
