Description

Solas Project runs a targeted After School Programme four days a week Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday based in the Liberties. This intensive, early intervention support programme provides a safe, nurturing environment which includes hot meals, homework support and fun activities. The club is designed to support children aged 5 – 10 to grow up as healthy, confident and caring members of the community and to reach their full potential.

Your role as a volunteer is to build up a rapport with children, play with them, listen to their stories, ask them questions, laugh and learn from them.

Please note that Garda Vetting is required for this position which will be processed with you after you apply.

Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:

Getting to know the children,

Building up rapport and having fun with them.

Supervising mealtime, homework and activity time and motivating the children to complete their homework.

Organising and initiating activities and free play for the children.

Details of time commitment needed for role:
Monday/ Tuesday/ Wednesday or Thursday afternoon from 2.30pm - 6.30pm

Minimum time commitment per week:
5 hours p/week
