About Us:STAND mobilises third-level students to stand up for global justice, equality and sustainability.




Description

STAND News is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join our team as multimedia content creators, with a focus on social media video content including reels and short-form video. You might create a weekly global news round-up, student interviews on issues that matter, or short explainer videos — all tied to our core themes of culture, education, environment, gender, migration & conflict, and politics, with a local-to-global lens.

No prior experience is needed, just curiosity about global justice and sustainability, and a willingness to learn. Training is provided.

What's involved:

  • Researching and producing video or multimedia content for the STAND website and social media (1 or 2 videos per month, to be agreed with STAND News Editor)
  • Collaborating with the STAND News Editor and Section Editors on edits and deadlines
  • A time commitment of approximately 6 hours per month, flexibly arranged

Contributors are expected to stay active for 1 year, with the option to continue for up to 2 years after graduating from a third-level institution.
