About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and creative Social Media & Marketing Volunteer to join Helplink Mental Health. This is a great opportunity for a student or early-career individual interested in digital marketing, communications, and social impact.
In this role, you will support our outreach and communications, helping to raise awareness, engage our community, and promote vital mental health services across Ireland. You will gain hands-on experience while contributing to meaningful work.
You would be a great fit if you:
Are creative and interested in social media and content creation
Have strong communication and writing skills
Are passionate about mental health and social impact
Are proactive, reliable, and able to work independently
Have basic experience with social media tools (e.g. Canva, Instagram, LinkedIn)
Is training provided?:Yes

Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:
Key Responsibilities
You will support the team across a range of activities, including managing and contributing to Helplink’s social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn), creating engaging content focused on mental health and wellbeing, scheduling posts, and monitoring engagement, as well as supporting campaigns and awareness initiatives.
You will also assist with marketing and communications by supporting campaigns that promote Helplink’s services, creating digital content such as graphics, videos, blogs, and newsletters, contributing ideas to improve engagement and reach, and helping with website updates and basic performance analysis.
In addition, you will support fundraising and community engagement by promoting events and initiatives, contributing to creative fundraising ideas and campaigns, and engaging with donors, supporters, and the wider community online.
