Description

We are seeking enthusiatic volunteers to help faciliate our summer camps in August. It is not the typical summer camp so there will be trips to other counties, different types of workshops. You will be supported by the experienced community development worker as well as existing volunteers in our organisation. The camp will run for two weeks in August each week will have a different age group, one week for example will be 5-8year olds and 9-12 year olds the camp will run from 10am to 4pm Monday to Friday in our resource centre. 

Volunteers must have Children's First Training, garda vetting will be provided.

Please note that Garda Vetting is required for this position which will be processed with you after you apply.

Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:

Volunteers will be expected to support the community development worker in supervising and faciliatting activities with the children. 

Ensuring the enviornment is kept safe for the children at all times.

Reporting any concerns they may have to the community development worker.

Helping children figure our different tasks during activities.

Supporting children who may need some time away from activities. 

Creating a fun and engaging environment.

Details of time commitment needed for role:
It would be Monday to Friday from 10 am to 4pm. However depending on the number of volunteers the volunteer may not be needed each day.

Flexible/Varies
