Description

NiteLine is a listening and information service for university students. NiteLine is a charity which is entirely student led by students from DBS, DCU, DkIT, IADT, MU, NCAD, RCSI, TCD, TUD, UCC, UCD and UL. We offer anonymous, confidential, non-directive and non-judgemental support to students. We open every night of term from 9pm-2:30am and offer support both via phone and instant messaging.

Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:

We are currently recruiting call taking volunteers for the next academic year. Our volunteers undergo extensive and rigorous in person training to prepare them for any call they may face so that they may help fellow students to the best of their ability.

The training process is so rewarding for students and the NiteLine trainers cannot wait to welcome new volunteers to the team. NiteLine offers students a unique and wonderful way to become more involved, help others, and make amazing friends along the way.

Additional screening required for this role::
NiteLine volunteers must complete our application form, and will attend an interview after their successful application. Becoming a NiteLine volunteer depends on successful completion of our 24 hours of training and practice calls.
